Finally, I remembered my password

Hi Folks

I am going to try to post at least on a weekly basis starting in the new year. I'm not sure I will have anything to say but I can still rattle on and on about anything.

Happy Holidays to all, and to all a good night.

Labor Day

Labor Day weekend started out great. Friends Lee and Linda were here and we went to the County Fair. We went to my very first Tractor Pull. It was exciting.

Linda, C, & Lee

One of the tractors...

Look at all that smoke...

C smoked a brisket in his new smoker..

Working real hard at this cooking job...

While the brisket was cooking we went back to the fair. Linda and I found a Tupperware booth. Fun was had by both of us..

C's knee was hurting so he rested while we shopped..

We didn't go hungry either...

Linda got her Elephant Ear..

Linda shared her Elephant Ear with me

C got his Funnel Cake

Lee got some sandwiches

No idea what I am feeding him

Linda got her hot chocolate

Then it was off to the Concert...

I tried to put a video in but I can't figure out how to do it. I guess I need to check with my "people" and have them explain it to me. lol

Sunday we ate the brisket...

Watched a parade in the RV park

We watched a glass blower in the park..

The park sponsored a "Candy Bar Bingo" game and Linda and I went.... We didn't win any candy bars but it only cost us one candy bar per bingo card to play...

We decided that we wanted a fire in the fire pit. So let's get some wood..

Bella did her part to help us along.. Even if she didn't want to give it up..

Now let's get this in the pit JUST RIGHT...

Wala... we have fire

We finally got a fire going only to have the rain start... so we went inside

And had some competition of our own.. A Sequence Tournament... And Linda & I were VICTORIOUS!!!!

It was a great weekend. Can't ask for anything better than good friends, good food, good entertainment, and a roaring campfire...

Intro to the Trailerhood

I got out and drove around the park today. I went to the general store to see what it had to offer. I was asked if I was a "new seasonal". Of course I am. I will be living here full time for 6 months of the year. April 15th thru October 15th. From Oct thru April I will probably be living in an APARTMENTHOOD!!! LOL

Anyway, I took a few pictures of the park and some of the homes. Some of the homes are truly amazing. Hopefully by next spring we will have a deck on our trailer and a cute little golf cart for Misti and I to run to the store, laundry, bingo games, miniature golf course, pools, and where ever else we would like to go.

This is my RV. See the steps that C & Jody built. Fantastic Job guys!!

My new car...

Our neighbors...

The Golf Course...

The Movie Theater

A nice 2 story trailer with a very big deck...

A nice setup also...

This lawn art makes me think of my daugher Fizz... She loves dolphins...

Well that is about all the pictures I can do for tonight. Maybe I will get better at this as time goes on. I need some guidance from my Blog expert, Princess Mommy.

Thank goodness I have PEOPLE!!!! Son C3 for hardware advice, daughter Fizz for Microsoft Office help, daughter Flea for gaming questions, and adopted daughter Princess Mommy for Blogger support.

More later, gater

Date Night.....

It started out so sweet.... C called to say he was taking me out for dinner to an Irish Pub. A guy from the plant was playing in a band there tonight. I was so excited, Dinner AND music!!! The band was to start playing at 8 pm so we were leaving home at 6:30 so we would have time to eat first and then listen to the music. We walked out to get in the car ( my NEW car ) and I couldn't unlock the doors. I had to use the actual KEY to unlock the door. Absolutely NO power in the car at all. Don't know what happened but the car is dead as a door nail.

So, we are taking the truck instead. Only it need diesel. It only had 24 miles left until empty. If you know me at all, you know how I panic if the gas gauge goes below 50 miles til empty. No problem, we have time to stop and get fuel.

C decides we should go on to the pub and eat first and get fuel later. We get to the pub and are told there is at least a 25 min wait. No big deal. We will wait in the bar. Before we can turn and go to the bar, another gentleman walks up and asks if we need help. I said no that we were just told there would be a 25 min wait. He laughs and said "well, actually it will be at least 8 pm before we will even be able to think about ordering food. A party of 10 were just seated and another party of 40 were just being seated as well. We decide to go somewhere else to eat and then come back for the music.

We get in truck and I tell C that he has to go get fuel before we start driving all over town looking for some place else to eat. We find a station with diesel. The pump is going so slow that C decides to go in. C goes in and the person in there tells him to go to the "Depot Steakhouse". Best steaks in town. So off we go with only 15 gallons of diesel because C got tired of waiting on the pump because it is so slow. Come to find out the Depot Steakhouse is only 1 1/2 blocks from the Irish pub where we are going later anyway so that worked out great. We go inside and are seated really quick. There are only a few people in there so we think this is working out great. Eat quick and get back to the pub by 8. Well, nothing is as it seems!!!! There is a table of 4 adults, a table of 2 adults, and a table of 2 women and 2 small kids. The waitress brings us some water and says she will be right back. She then starts bringing food to the table of 4 adults. Then goes in the back to fill sugar containers or something. When she comes back to the table of 4, they are complaining about their food. The potato needs to be reheated because it is so cold it won't even melt the soft butter. She takes it in the back and finally comes to take our order ( at least 15 mins have pasted ). She takes off with our order. I ordered French Dressing on my salad. About 10 mins later when the salad arives, I start to pour my dressing on the salad and it won't come out of the little black cup. So I stick my fork in it and it comes out like jello. It actually looks like tomato jelly or something like that. Like a nut, I taste it to try and figure out what it is because it is NOT salad dressing. I never did figure out what it was but by the time I got her attention again ( she had more problems with the food at the table of 4 adults ) C has finished his salad. I finally get some Ranch dressing. It is pretty good. During all this time, the table with the 2 kids is having trouble. The smallest kids wants to feed himself ice cream and either his mother or grandmother won't let him, so he is screaming at the top of his lungs. While he is throwing a fit, and I don't know how he does it because I am watching the table of 2 send their food back to the kitchen, but the kid actually pulls the curtains off the window. All I see is the mom/grandmother rolling the curtain around the tension rod and laying it on the table behind them.

We see some food come up on the pass thru and think it is ours. NOPE, it is the replacement for the table of 2. lol. We finally get our food. It is acutally pretty good food. C had ribs and hot wings and I had porkchop and chicken. That was the biggest porkchop I've ever seen in my life. It looked like a ham!!!

The table of 4 is having trouble paying their bill. Something is wrong!! lol They got it figured out ok I guess. The table of 2 sends one plate of food back for the 2nd time. Poor guys!! The kids and thier moms/grandmothers finally leave. At least it is quiet now. We finish eating and pay and get out of there.

We get to the Irish Pub and the band is already playing. It is about 8:15 my now. We stayed for about an hour. The music was ok. It kinda sounded like the were playing the same song over and over lol. After about 30 or 45 mins another guy comes in with a fiddle. He has jeans and shirt and work boots and long black hair and a shaggy beard. He comes in with a woman who looks like she just came off the farm. And she is carrying a basket with about 8 dozen eggs. lol The people in the band start buying the eggs while the guy gets ready to play with the band.

All in all it was a very special night. I really can say that I have NEVER had a date like tonight before in my life.

Life with C is always an adventure. I NEVER know what to expect. And to be totally honest, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Come back soon for more exploits on the TRAILERHOOD. I will try to get some pictures of the place. It is really nice here.

Later gater.....

Wisconsin, Here I am....

I'm back in Wisconsin. Left Texas on Saturday and got into Sheboygan on Sunday afternoon. C had RV pretty well set up. Not much food in fridge but I took care of that today. Thank goodness for Walmart!!! It's gonna be a fun ride this time. There are lots of things to see and do here. I just hope it isn't as cold and snowy as Iowa has been for the last 2 winters. We passed a sign for a mustard museum on the way up here. It looked interesting. It said "Poupon U" I just started laughing and C looked at me like I was crazy until I explained why.

The RV park is very nice. 2 swimming pools, a putt putt golf course, resturant, general store and many other services. Looking forward to Labor Day weekend. We are gonna have company. Lee, Linda, maybe Jody and Misti, and probably Matt and Angela, and Amanda and Jacob. Matt and Jacob are supposed to bring material with them and build us a deck. I am looking forward to lots of cook outs and lazy evenings in the lawn chairs.

What's up??

I took a trip in June to visit my 2 adopted grandkids. Carrie and I had a great time. The kids are fantastic. Playing Go Fish and Old Maid with the Diva was so much fun. She didn't really like to play Old Maid because she was afraid she was going to get stuck with the old maid. I don't know why she was worried. She won every game!! Little Man just wanted to be tickled and ride the pony to town. I never did so many leg lifts in my life!! Sure got my exercise in. Of course Mom and Dad were great hosts. I love sharing stories and visiting. It was a wonderful weekend. I feel blessed to be included in their lives.
